McGill Admissions?

So I was reading the McGill undergrad admissions page for ontario students and as I scroll down to BSc standards I see that the average overall is 92.7%?! Is this true?

Admissions standards (Ontario High School)

What I also don't understand is how they will accept 85% in each math and science course in top 6 but still expect an 92.7% average? My only explanation is that I'm misunderstanding the standards..

if those statistics are true then I'm f*****

It means that you can have one bad mark without blowing your chances. The overall minimum marks they post are firm and rising.

well that’s comforting :|

Well it makes sense though because in order to get into anything in the Sciences, you need to have a really really strong foundation of your subjects and average students get in their 80s, but students interested in Sciences should be able to get 89%+…

Oh I do get well over 90 in every science, but I’m not quite sure about calculus…

Wow, and I thought highschool grades were inflated when I was in school. These students are in for a surprise during their first year.
