Mcgill and Georgetown

I'm applying to both of these schools and I was wondering if any current/former students could tell me whether or not I have a chance of getting in.

SAT I:

Math - 600

CR - 630

Writing - 700

GPA - 3.88

Sat II

Spanish - 630

U.S. History - 570

I haven't gotten a B since freshman year and I have a ton of extracurriculars (music, TA, working for non-profits)

I also got two really good recommendation letters.

I already got into the University of Washington a week after they started sending acceptance lettters and I was accepted at Western Washington University with distinction.

Any chance?

Thanks for your help.

Your test scores are below McGill's minimums so you don't have a chance there. Georgetown isn't entirely numbers based, so you do have a chance there.

Like kungfu said, McGill is all based on numbers. Looking at their requirements (Applicants from U.S. High School Programs (in the U.S.A. and other countries)), it seems like your U.S History score is too low. Depending on what you're planning to major in, your other scores look okay.

Georgetown is holistic, so it's hard to tell you your chances.

Stats are a bit low for Georgetown, but you never know. If your ECs are good enough....

I know a girl with a 1360/1600 who was rejected from McGill, though, so meeting the minimums is simply a more broad standard. In reality, they just take the best people who apply.

wow that sucks for you guys
im canadian, and applying to ivys and stanford and UCs and NYU and such,
and McGill is the only canadian university id go to, and i'm applying there

but its SO easy for us to get in there! no tests, (although i will submit my SATs ) no essays, NOTHING haha im pretty sure icould get in even if my average was like 85 %
(which thankfully its not)

but good luck!
