I’m considering applying for Mcgill, but my ACT score is really low. While my gpa is a 3.83/4.56 and I’m in my Class Council and National Honor Society? Could i still make it into Mcgill with a low ACT score? How importantly is the test scores to Mcgill?
For Americans there are minimum SAT/ACT cutoffs and they are rigid. For the ACT the minimum ranges from 26 to 30 depending on the program. A high UW GPA cannot make up for a test score below the minimum. Having the minimum does not guarantee acceptance. Test scores and UW GPA’s are weighted equally. EC’s are not considered at all in admission decisions.
how low is your ACT score if you don’t mind me asking?
