any updates on when are the admission decisions for the international students coming out?
.
@rick78 Which curriculum did you do ?
McGill states that International Students won’t get a decision before January.
@student333z I am currently doing the IB Diploma in India
@zorgan That’s what my request specified as well, but they got back to me with a decision all the same.
Anyone know if they continue accepting into the weekend? Don’t wanna kill myself checking Minerva every hour like I do on weekdays haha
They probably wont send out any on saturdays or sundays since they are days off
Mine under ‘Application Status’ has said ‘Ready to Review’ for a while. I’m applying as a dual citizen from the United States…I applied around Mid October. Is there something to be concerned that it has been about 2 months and no email update for anything or is there just so many applicants that they haven’t reached to mine yet? TIA
@JCNAGaming same exact situation. i applied like october 7th and it still says ready for review, no email updates, no request for further review. i called mcgill the other day to make sure everything is in order and they said it was. must’ve just not gotten to our applications yet but glad someone else is in the same boat lol
I applied from the UK and was accepted last week with an entrance scholarship
The university decides your standing after reviewing any AP courses or other advanced standing credit. I think my daughter will be U0, but on the border of U1, which is something like 23 credits or more in AP/Advanced Standing credit.
@LFC123 Congratulations on the acceptance. Did you receive a renewable major entrance scholarship or a one-time award?
One-time, the renewable scholarship still says in-process.
I’m starting to get impatient and frustrated. Decently above average for the faculties I applied to and no action on either, still says ready for review like it did when i applied in early october. Called admissions and they said everything looked in order, don’t know why it’s taking so long anyone else in a similar situation?
@jm18271 if you are a U.S. student just know that last year they required first semester grades for most students. McGill just has a way they do this…in some ways (lack of a date) it is more frustrating. But with regard to providing last year minima I think it is less frustrating. If you are way above last year’s minima…be patient and have faith.
@jm18271 pretty sure most of us are still in ready for review
@jm18271 For what it’s worth, I applied two hours after the application opened, am significantly above the minima, have uploaded midterm grades to try and accelerate my decision, and still have ready for review. It is definitely frustrating, since Americans are left wondering when an update is coming. I guess we just have to be patient and hope it will work out!
Has anyone from Asia got their admission decisions yet?
An International student studies in U.S… Just got in both school of Arts and Desautels yesterday.
Stats:
SAT1 700+790
SAT2 Math lvl 2: 800, Physics: 770
AP Calc AB: 5 AP Physics: 4
GPA all meet the minimum requirement
Senior year course load:
AP Chem
AP Econ (Micro/Macro)
AP Lit
Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra
My sat english does not meet business school’s minimum requirement, which is 710, but I have every other things far beyond the requirement. Good luck to you all!
Got further review requested yesterday, uploaded (first quarter) grades almost right away and haven’t heard anything. assuming that’s a bad thing as most people said they were accepted right away
