First, this is not true assuming you are able to keep your GPA at a reasonably high level and just as/if not more importantly, ace the LSATs (170 and up/180), and have a few ECs you are passionate enough about to speak to for interviews. McGill is highly respected in the US as I’ve observed from working with a few NYC attorneys who did their undergrad there and later, attended one of the T14 law schools like the ones you listed.

More importantly, have you shadowed an attorney and/or interned at a law office? You really need to do that beforehand to see if going to law school and being an attorney is right for you. Also, keep in mind that you may change your career plans as you progress during your college career and in life.

McGill will NOT affect your chances at a top law school. It is highly respected in the US, considered on par with some of the best American universities.
