PLEASE
Pouvez vous m'aider ?!?!
I'm trying to choose between Boston University & Mcgill for Pre-med. Its a REALLY difficult decision for me. Can you please help me? Or comment?

are you from the US or Canada (or neither)? What is the cost difference between the two schools for you/your family (and does this matter)?

Both schools are good schools; you’ll need good MCATs and a good GPA to get into medical school, and you will need to work hard at both schools.

All things being equal, Boston has a lot of great internship opportunities. I don’t know much (pos or neg) about McGill specifically for pre-med, but in both scenarios I think you’re in good shape.

Thank you so much! =) =)
Financial Issues don’t matter at all. I’m actually an international student.
Yes, I think BU has better opportunities for Pre-Med, but I also hear Mcgill has a pretty good reputation. I have some family members in Montreal, and one currently near Boston. So I’m still not quite sure. =/

McGill has really insane grade deflation (but so does BU, but I think McGill’s is more severe), that’s just something to consider. Montreal is a great city though, and I loved McGill when i visited it.

Hmmm…
Well I’ll need to investigate that more. Thanks for your help! :)

Where do you want to do your medical training? It is extremely difficult for international applicants to be admitted to medical schools in the US. You would probably be better off pursuing your medical studies in your home country, and then going to the US for a residency.

Its true that taking medicine here, in my home country would be easier. Especially that I don’t need an undergraduate degree or MCAT scores or any of that. I can apply after the end of my senior year. I don’t even need to pay any tuition either. However, I’ve made the decision not to study in this local school. The more difficult way may not be the easiest or the cheapest, but I have no doubt that the outcome will be valuable. I might sound irrational, but if you were in my situation, you’d understand why I’m determined to experience this.

Suzatoo - It is good to know that you are headed into this with your eyes wide open. Too many international applicants don’t. Generally speaking it is easier to get work permits in Canada than in the US. I don’t know about admission to med school in Canada. They may prefer students from Canadian universities and/or students who have a certain immigration status. That would be something to check out. Have you asked any of your questions at the Med School Forum? The people there may have better information for you.
Thanks a lot for all your help!!!
