McGill vs. William and Mary

Ok guys, thanks for your help. I knocked out GWU as a contender. I wanna major in IR and a marketable skill, like computer science or engineering.

The showdown comes to McGill vs. William and Mary.

William and Mary

Pros:
Close to home
LAC
Academic environment

Cons:
Too secluded
I’ve heard very conflicting reports regarding reputation. Idk if it’s considered top tier, e.g. UVA, UMich, or if it’s just another state school.
Too small
Under-connected
Under-funded

McGill

Pros:
Location, metropolitan feel
Ability to practice French
Ability to take a science and arts degree with ease
Niceee dorms
Price

Cons:
Idk about McGill’s rep in USA
Far away from home (my parents dont want me too far – W/M is 3 hours, McGill is 13).
People say it’s too huge
Too much red tape (but it builds character, right?)
Underfunded

Any ideas on how William and Mary stacks up against McGill?

I am also choosing between McGill and William and Mary. I will most likely be attending McGill because though I haven’t received my final aid packages yet, W&M will most likely be waaaayyyy too expensive because I am out of state. As a Canadian citizen, McGill will not be very expensive for me. I would say both are moderately prestigious. McGill 's name recognition in the US is probably best out of the Canadian schools, though W&M may be more known because well it is in the US. You have to decide if you want to be in the city or not as well because W&M definitely does not have the same urban experience as McGill, though it does have a beautiful campus. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Good luck!
