Hello,
I’m an American high school student. McGill’s faculty of arts is my first choice for college. My grades exceed the requirements, and my predicted SAT is 1500, well above their average. However, I’m in a fine arts magnet meaning that I take two art classes a year. Will McGill see that as a blowoff elective and hold it against me?
Pretty sure you will be fine if you meet their stated requirements for GPA, SAT, and required courses. You can check on their website to make sure you meet minimum requirements for past year(s) admissions by major. They are GPA and SAT/ACT focused and your choice of electives should not be a factor as long as required classes are fulfilled. Great school and on my daughter’s school list as well. Good luck.
