sigh Whoever said the application is 100 dollars is out to lunch.

The Canadian dollar is less valuable than the US dollar. the converted application fee would be around 70 dollars US.

Ah yes you're right...good for us then!

By the way, what is "out to lunch." I've never heard that one before. :D

i'm used to the cold, i come from the snowiest city in the US.

but, the damn huge winter jacket takes up so much room in a suitcase, i just brought a fleece. So yeah, their windproof ability falls well short of the hoped for mark, not good in the 'windy city'. Bad choice.

I'm in Chicago for an interview with Motorola - i just sent my resume to the VP of organizational development with the company (little hook up I had got me connected) whose looking for an intern and I survived the first 2 rounds of phone interviews ... so, they sent me to Chicago for another 2 rounds. What a pain in the ass i thought, but I guess they're willing to pay something like $1100 a week plus $2,000 to sign on and housing. I'll consider it. Beautiful city, I must point out - though I couldn't even name the damn street I'm on now.

Don't go there. Houdini's death was caused by a student there.

Why would you ever go to a school that killed the greatest magician to have ever lived?

Hell yes.
..

Thanks for the reminder. I applied for a transfer a couple of weeks ago.

nasty! why would anyone wanna go to canada?!?!

you've obviously never been to canada then.

lol! i hate the cold, i love it here in LA :) we have great weather :)

ahh come on everybody likes California! Can't you be unique?!

I found a kinda neat website if you're bored, and it seems like you are:

Engrish.com.

Go nuts.

what the? i was confused by the website, maybe im just gonna go on and watch I Love NY on vh1 lol

it's kinda hard to find the good pictures...i like this one though:

Cold for half of the year my good sir! However, its not what all you Americans make it out to be. It depends on where in Canada you live... Toronto just received it;s first negative ( -4) and snow since the winter season began. Nothing compared to what I see in Denver. I'm guessing that most of you will be seeking to U of T and McGill, so you will not be experiencing anything in the east.

P.S. If you guys do get into McGill or U of T. Go in and stay focused. Competition is fierce and they will love to kick you out. Some 50% of the people you see in the first years will ge gone at the snap of a finger.

Well, I don't really want to go to McGill. :D Although it is a nice school, so I'm applying on the off chance that I'm not accepted to ANY of the other schools I'm applying to. Sorry if that's evil, but I found it necessary and would be happy there - just not as happy as I would anywhere else!

Here is a list of the world university rankings if you want to have a check

Yes it is a very good school lol.

But it's also a public school with big classes (and grade deflation). So I hope not to have to attend, but would still feel like I'd accomplished something great and be happy if I did end up there.

Those rankings are not really accurate, and the inadequacies of them have been much discussed here.

you should know not to depend on a ranking that spells "University of Pennsylvania" as Pennsylvania University.....

Haha, Trivia. It's pretty interesting to note that many people STILL confuse the school with PSU.
