McIntire Business

i find this topic funny because futurenyustudent is only bashing mcintire because everyone told him he wouldn't get into uva.

whats the big deal fns? you'll probably have a hard time getting into nyu as well so I would stop flipping out about how nyu is better than uva or whatever and concentrate on getting into the best school you can get into.

No it's futurewhartonstudent, NOT futurenyustudent. I think futurewhartonstudent is capable of getting into UVa (good stats+hispanic).

anyway, GOHOOS1, i'm sensing Greenhill there............ ;)

"anyway, GOHOOS1, i'm sensing Greenhill there............ "

...Nope!

GOHOOS1, if you don't mind me asking, how was your experience at McIntire? Obviously, the quality of the program speaks for itself, but what was your personal experience like, as I am a prospective transfer and would like to get a feel for it.

If it recruits from Harvard, Penn and UVa only, damn, it's pretty elite, sounds something similar to blackstone, gleacher and evercore.

My McIntire experience was phenomenal. Yes, I had more work than when I was in the College, but this work was really hands-on. By hands-on, I mean that each class has a corporate sponsor that you study for a semester, and then the class gives a presenation to their executives. I cannot emphasize enough how important this exercise was towards giving me an understanding of every aspect of business. Also, the workload is present but I wouldn't call it intense. I never missed a football game, basketball game, or party because of the Comm School. I'm pretty sure most of my friends would agree. Lastly, I really felt that the school wasn't ultra-competitive. In all the teams I worked with, everyone just wanted to help everyone else, and at no point did anyone do anything selfish to jeapordize the group. The students and the teachers are top notch, and again, the job recruiting scene was second-to-none. I was an average Comm student at best, and probably had about 30 interviews on-Grounds.
