"Incoming students will be asked to provide their names and birthdates. Existing Hopkins students, faculty, and staff will be asked to provide their Johns Hopkins Enterprise Directory (JHED) login ID (LID) and password."

Has anyone tried logging in? My attempt to login failed.

If you've paid your enrollment deposit, you should have gotten a link for the Class of 2010 message board. On that board, someone said they emailed the MCP people and were told incoming freshman would be in the system by the end of May.

Go to Apple.com. Click on the store button. Go to the education store as a Johns Hopkins student. Purchase a MacBook for a significant discount. That's what I did (substitute MacBook for PowerBook G4).

JHED accounts for Class of 2010 students will not be set-up until early June. All enrolling students will receive a packet of information from the academic advising offices with instructions on setting up your JHED ID. Once that is set, then you can get your email addresses. No sooner -- sorry.

On another note, enrolling students should keep an eye out for an email you will receive next week regarding Campus Computing and details about the Hopkins Mobile Computing Program. We will also be posting helpful information on the Class of 2010 Message Board in the next few days.
