MCPHS U or UCONN?

After several weeks of contemplation, it has now come down to these two colleges. I know that they are both two completely different colleges with two different pharmacy programs, but I want to make sure that I am going to make the right decision before I put down my deposit. Here are some facts:

UCONN
- 2+4 program (requires PCAT and PharmCAS)
- located in rural Storrs
- out-of-state (net cost ~22k/yr)
- larger, vibrant campus

MCPHS U
- 0-6 program (does not require PCAT and PharmCAS)
- located in the great city of Boston
- in-state (net cost ~14k/yr)
- smaller campus, fewer campus activities

My heart is set on UCONN because there are many opportunities to get involved on campus and I want an out-of-state experience. The UCONN's pharmacy program is one of the highest regarded in the nation; however MCPHS U offers the 0-6 Pharm D. program, but after doing more research on the school and asking current students about their experiences I found that the majority of students were/are dissatisfied with the quality of education and college life that is offered. Even though I have talked to my parents about my options, it ultimately comes down to my decision. Can somebody help me out? I am having a difficult time.

I don’t know either school, but be sure to check the tuition rates for each year of the pharmd program.
Usually the professional phase costs alot more.

http://www.mcphs.edu/admission-and-aid/tuition-and-fees/boston-undergraduate-programs</a>
I think uconn charges the same for prepharm and p1, p2, but alot more for p3, p4.
mcphs charges less for prepharm, but higher price for p1, p2, p3, p4.
That way you can determine the total cost for all 6 years.
Also do you qualify for scholarships or financial aid? This might also affect your net price because some schools consider only prepharm as undergrad and others consider the first 4 years as undergrad. That way your scholarship might only be for 2 years or 4 years. Also I don’t think you can get Pell grant for professional phase.
So you need to talk to the schools to find out about this.
