How difficult is the class and how much time does it consume per week? I heard that it was difficult and it took a lot of time so was wondering.

if you don’t keep up with the work you are supposed to do, it’s difficult. many people who take this class tend to wait until the day before a draft is due to actually write them. this is extremely counter productive because more times than not, you end up writing a ****ty draft, so the next time around you just have more work to do.
i got an A- and didn’t have much trouble overall in the class because i read/wrote drafts when they were assigned and didn’t slack off. i also have decent writing skills which helped.
and it does take up a decent amount of time, but that is variable depending on your writing skill/habits.

oh yeah I usually start before. Would you consider a 3 on the ap test decent? I mean my cr isn’t the best but essays are slightly better.

To be honest pretty much everyone agrees it’s a crappy class. It isn’t consistently time-consuming, but there’s definitely a time crunch between each draft. I’m not a prolific writer, but I’m better than average. I got a B+ in MCWP40 and an A in MCWP50. Try to learn the Toulmin method, do what your TA asks you to do and hope for the best. Oh, and try to make every draft legitimate, because the TA only thoroughly reads the first of 3 or 4. Good luck!

(i didn’t take any ap tests so i have no idea! although if you passed, you should be fine)
