Ok, so I’m looking at the meal plans for 2006/2007 and I’m not sure which is better. For those who go to BU, do you eat more in the dining hall or do you use dining points more often?

I say start of with the 14-Plus Meal Plan. I started with the Unlimited plan and liked going into the dining hall anytime I wanted but let me tell you, you quickly get bored with the selection. I then switched to the 14 plan and like the extra dining points. Then I realized, that even 14 meals a week is too many for me the other plans like the 320 or whatever it is give you soo many more dining points which of course can be used at the GSU. I have come to the realization that the freedom and variety offered by the various dining locations that accept points far outweigh multiple visits to the dining hall.

My friend's sister started with Unlimited and switched to the 14-Plus and she's been happy with that for 2 years. That's where I plan to start.

I'd say start with 14 meal plan too. Its the most even plan. That being said, I am planning on switching to the 9 a week or 250/semester, because I never eat in the dining hall anymore. It sounds weird, but it corresponds to where your friends live. Last year, I ate the in the dining hall all the time because all my friends lived in the building. Now, I have friends who live all over, so I constantly eat out or in the GSU. I'm almost out of dining points....not a good thing.
