Meal Plans

I know that the meal plans are required for all people living in the renovated dorms, but I have a few questions.

On seminoledining.com, they have the 7 meals/week + $500 flexbucks for $2798 for the entire year. This comes out to about $10.25 per meal (not counting the $500 flexbucks). Do the meals carry over from week to week? For example, can I use 0 meals one week and 14 the next, or do they cut off after the week ends?

I plan on eating various rice dished for the other meals, since I love rice and have a fancy rice cooker. I plan on taking a multivitamin as well to ward off beriberi and other nutritional problems as well. I never eat breakfast, and I often skip meals so I think this is the optimal diet for me. The rice cooker also makes steamed veggies, so I can incorporate that into the meals as well.

sorry to hijack your thread.....but to add on to what you said,I'm a vegetarian. do they have a lot of and a variety of vegetarian foods?

The 7 meal per week plan does not carry over from week to week.
The block plans are per semester so you can eat 0 one week and 14 the next.
Yes they offer VEGAN choices.
Here is the example menu from The Fresh Food Company this week.

None of the meal plans "roll over" the unused meals, but fortunately your excess flexbucks do roll over from fall to spring semester, and you get the new set of 500, 400, 300 flexbucks that come with your plan every semester.

They do have vegan food. At both suwannee and fresh food, there is a specific spot to get vegan/vegetarian food in as well as the salad line, plus you can always make a meal out of vegetables from the other food lines.
