Any recommendations/thoughts on the Clemson meal plans?

Mitch can probably give you some more details. How I see it is that the unlimited plan only costs $200 more than then Any Ten plan so I’m thinking about getting that first semester to be safe and then I’ll see how my eating routine goes and drop to a lower meal plan if necessary second semester.

By the way I thought it was funny that the Plus Any Ten/Fifteen Plans include $100 in paw points yet cost $94 more than the regular Any Ten/Fifteen Plans so it’s not really saving you any money haha

Using a 14 week semester, the 15 meal plan averages to about $5.84 a meal. Assuming you go to all meals, the unlimited plan averages to about a dollar less a meal. If you plan to eat out a lot, there is no point in getting something more than you need. However, it may be hard to predict how often you will go out here. I know people who lived on campus that went out 5+ times a week and people who almost never ventured off campus to eat. So going with the unlimited is a good choice if you are unsure.

When I had my meal plan, all plans but the unlimited were only able to eat each meal once per day. This meant you couldn’t go to lunch at 11 and again at 2. Before making your decision, you might want to call about this to see if it is still in place. My first semester I had the 15 meal plan, but I never used all of it because I’m not a big breakfast person, and thus always had something in the dorm in the morning. I went down to 10 from there my second semester (now living near campus I don’t have one).

with the Any 15 and Any 10 plans, you can only get 15 or 10 entries into the dining halls per week, with the unlimited, you can go whenever and how many times you want a week.

at least that’s how I understand it.

Although it’s an old thread already, I still have something to ask…
The unlimited plan says I can invite friend to join my meal, so is it possible to invite for every meal, so that we can divide the cost by half?

I don’t think you can invite friends to join your meals, I highly doubt that any sensible company that wants to make money would do that
