i'm going to be a sophomore this year and i'm living in the apartment dorm
and I ABSOLUTELY HATE the meal points because i had a hard time trying to use them all last year and during the summer session.
is there anyway to live in the apartment dorm but cancel my dining plan since i never use them?
I know that in UC berkeley they let you cancel your dining plans if you dont plan on eating in the cafeterias but still live on campus dorms... can we do that in UCSD?
I have no Idea where to contact about this matter...

The meal plan is less for people living in the apartments. It’s only $2220 compared to the $2750 or so you had last year. Here’s there number if you want it though.

there is no way you can reduce your dining plan, its included in your room / board fees. If you want to get rid of them you can swipe your upperclassman friends, I’m sure they are always down for free meals. I heard that there was a way to use your dining dollars on stuff from costco through earls place, although I cant seem to find a link to it.

sometimes I’d find myself lining up behind non-students and give them a deal with my meal points-- like if their meal was $7, I’d ask for $5 in cash and use my card. I lost some, but at least I didn’t have to be stuck with a ton of unused dining points.
