Meals

Say you start with the 15 meals per week dining plan with $200 plus dollars. Of course you can later upgrade to unlimited at any time (but not downgrade after a certain date).

Is 15 enough? How many meals do students really skip at UVA? Are the plus dollars enough to last you the semester? I know I won't be eating 3 meals a day / 7 days a week, but with unlimited I might get sick of cafeteria food. Most I'll probably have in a dorm is a microwave and a minifridge.

Thanks :)

I don’t think most students wake early enough to eat a full breakfast. I think 1st year students use some of their flex dollars to keep cereal and milk, etc. in their dorm room. A fridge in the dorm is impt.

Most 1st years get 15 first semester and then move down to 13 next semester, especially since they don’t like the food too much. 15 meals is plenty. You’ll likely eat lunch and dinner M-F and then that leaves you 5 for the weekend. Lunch on Saturdays probably wont happen since football games will be going in. So, unless you eat a ton, go for 15

Plus dollars are valuable since you can order Dominoes to your dorm and pay in Plus Dollars! Just leave a tip too…or not :)
