This is my first post so I'm not sure if this is the right place.

On the UCLA Med School Website it says "One year of college mathematics to include the study of introductory calculus and statistics."

This translates to one semester on any Calc class and one semester of Stats, right?

If I took the AP test for Calc already, it counts for absolutely nothing right?

Thank you

It depends. Many med schools require you to take all the classes used to meet the application requirements in college. So if you have AP credit for some of them you need to take further classes once enrolled in college. But this varies from med program to med program, so its something you’d need to look in further for the specific schools you have in mind. Or you could play it safe and make sure you meet the requirements without depending on AP credit.

At UCLA this would be any combination of calc and stats to add up to 3 quarters, as we do not have semesters.

I see. I think I’ll just play it safe and take a further calc and stats.

Don’t two semesters = 3 quarters anyway?

Thanks for the responses.

If they are taken from community colleges during summer, would those be counted?
