Medical Eye Waivers??

Hi everyone, my name is Will and im pretty sure im going to attend the USMMA as part of the class of 2013. i have been given my (condicional) appointment, and have my nomination. i have yet to send in my CFA, due to a minor injury, but will be doing so next week. however, i am also waiting for a medical waiver for poor eyesight. i have uncorrected vision of just worse than 20/400, but am correctable to 20/20 by several means. my question is, how common are eye waivers from Kings Point? and for anyone who has recieved one, how long after your medical exam did you hear from the academy? any help at all would be much appreciated. thanks!

My son(2012) wears glasses and is close to your prescription. He had no problem getting past the DodMerb. I'm sure you will be OK. Good luck!

Will, you should see the following link:
"Official" DoDMERB Responses - IMPORTANT CONTACT INFORMATION - United States of America Service Academy Forums

It is on the Service Academy Forum site. The person that you are looking for is Larry Mullen from DoDMERB, and I can attest to the fact that he is amazing!! He looks up information and calls you back in a very short period of time. He prefers email, so please see the link.

My son did receive a waiver (vision) from KP but every case is different. Good Luck to you!
PS My son actually saw this post and wants to know if you went to NASS with him. Are you from Missouri?

I have a lazy eye that is not technically correctable to 20/20 but i have 20/20 vision binoculary and i have been sent for another eye exam. were you
