I am looking into uconn but am nervous because of a medical problem. I wet the bed quite frequently and wear protection to try and control it. My question is will they pair me with someone with a similar problem? Was there a question about bedwetting on the housing forum? Do i tell school or roomate?- help!!

They likely pair you up with a random roommate. Unless you phone-in or email the housing staff and tell them about it, they will give you a random roommate regardless of your medical condition. Might be awkward if you don’t request a special need via housing staff…

I am quite certain that the Disability Services will be able to help you secure a room, possibly even a single. Your physician will probably have to provide documentation confirming your condition, and explain how a single room will be beneficial to you, whether it be to avoid embarassment or a roommate that may make you feel uncomfortable, or even a roommate that would not keep this condition confidential. My daughter is at UCONN with a medical condition and they have been very helpful.
