Does anyone know what the significance of the notation "non-rebuttal code" on the Dodmerb web site? We've been working through my son's medical process and this showed up. Does this code negatively affect the possibility of getting a waiver for the condition? Or does it simply mean that this issue will not be considered for a rebuttal (the straight-forward interpretation)?

Does anyone have any experience with/comments about this? Thanks!

It means that you'll have to take the issue up with the academy.. you can't try and tell DODMERB that they are wrong. In some cases, it is possible to try and convince DODMERB that they misinterpreted some information, but in a non rebuttal code, you need to convince the academy of this. I had one, and I still got a waiver.

Does it help to include a letter from a doctor/specialist with your request for a waiver or is it better to let them access DoDMERB's records themselves? Do the individual academies review the records directly or do they let DoDMERB do it?
