Medical Scholars Program Eligibility???

***Serious Question

My family immigrated to California just two months ago and I graduated from a high school outside US. I’m currently attending another university as a premed (sophomore) and will go back to my new home due to some issues related to my family and others. I am currently studying outside California. The other requirements, like SAT scores, high school GPA, match the minimum requirement as my high school was an international school. For my case, would I be an eligible applicant because I became the Californian resident two months ago? I do not want to stop preparing for the medical career even though I’m going to transfer.

P.S. I was previously accepted to UCSD as well at the time I was applying for college. And from my young days I dreamed to be a physician.

The biggest question in the nutshell is: does UCSD med scholars program accept the transfer? I’m in a little bit similar program to this program.

As you can see from the Medical Scholars web site, “This program is designed for high school seniors who are California residents considering careers in medicine.”

They won’t take you as a transfer (I tried). You can be premed at any university, and UCSD is a great way to go. I’m at UCSB right now.

Thanks letmein2015 SLU med scholars program is a total shit. Rather be a premed in UCSD
