I was looking on ACES for any semianr classes for first year students and I can't locate any related to the medical field in any way. Should I just choose one that's unrelated or did I just accidentally miss the ones related to the medical field?

You're not limited to those seminars explicitly for first-years, just the non-first-year seminars are going to be significantly harder. Also, I just looked since I was surprised that there weren't any medically related, and yes - there are no non-graduate-level seminars directly related to medicine. I found this:

DOCST 104S - MEDICINE AND DOCUMENTARY PHOTO

about documentary studies interfacing with the medical community... but otherwise nothing. Keep in mind that seminar classes tend to need to center around things that are better taught if discussed in a small group. I doubt having debates between freshmen over different surgical techniques or the advantages/disadvantages of vasopressin over epinephrine during unstable ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia would be productive in any way.

You might want to see if you can find one that fulfills some requirement of yours or acts as a prerequisite for a class you might want or need to take later, if at all possible.

You should be aware that DocSt 104S is an extremely popular class.

Thank you both.
