which of the TV series is the most realistic portrayal of a career in the medical field? ER, Scrubs or Grey's Anatomy?

Scrubs has very serious problems with it and is by far the most realistic. ER places second.

Grey's should not be considered a medical show, and House is even worse.

I've heard scrubs is the most realistic, but then again I've never seen scrubs, greys anatomy, etc.

I'm watching occasionally the ER stuff on the Health channel (channel 66) at 5 PM central time. How much does it reflect reality? What kind of stuff has been omited?

ER, reputedly, represents moments of realism, but they omit the vast majority of cases, which are less dramatic. Doctors' personal lives are also much more connected than they would be in real life.

other than the fact that the residents have a lot of free time on scrubs, what else is not realistic?

Scrubs, but I don't think that janitors usually try to kill the intern.

Have any of you seen that new show Heartland? I think it's on TNT. How realistic is that show? To me, it didn't seem very realistic at all; also, it's boring as hell and hardly focuses on the medical stuff. But maybe it was just that one episode.

scrubs is awesome =)
