I do not know how diffiuclt it is by roomate has flat feet. I bet it is just extra paperwork, but I can check with him.

does you need any more than just orthotics to treat them?
Because I just brought my hard plastic orthotics and I didn't have any trouble at all...

I can't imagine flat feet would be that hard to waive. I mean, among all the medical conditions that they look at in a candidate, how far up on the list can flat feet possibly be?

I have flat feet and it wasnt a problem for me. I had custom orthotics made by a podiatrist so I had to send in the paperwork. As long as your flat feet dont cause you problems like backpain or knee pain or whatever else, you should be fine.
Just make sure you contact DODMERB regualarly and ensure they have all the information they need

I have somewhat flat feet, and I put it down on history. I wear custom-molded orthotics also. The doctor didn't even check my feet during my exam. I'm now qualified.

Didn't flat feet used to prevent people from being drafted a long time ago? Anyway, not a big concern of the military anymore.
