I didn’t know where in the Medical School one I was to put this, so I decided to put it here. Sorry if I’m in the wrong place.
Question: For medical school admission, is it necessary to take a physics class per se on campus, if you are getting credit for it via AP?

Most medical schools will not accept AP credits, and justifiably so since they are weak indicators of one's ability to understand the concepts at an elevated, college level (no matter how "hard" you think your high school AP course was).

I'm a little confused by this. You are talking about med school. Do you mean taking a pre-med program as an undergraduate?

Yes, you would need to take a physics class at the undergraduate institution you are attending, in addition to the other pre-med courses (bio, organic chem, inorganic chem, etc.) Having the AP credit will not exempt you from these courses; instead, it would give you the option of taking a more advanced course in that subject.
