Medicine choices

From an int'l kid:

Is America good for studying Medicine? If not, then which country should be considered if one wants to apply for a Med course?

Outside Europe <which means="" apart="" from="" oxford="" and="" cambridge="" med="" courses="">, which universities have high reputation at Med education? Is Japan good, or is it China? </which>

Anyway, I want to find an English-speaking country for my young sister to pursue her education, as she prefers English much more than other languages. What is your opinion about Med courses in Aus and NZ?

Many thanks for your consideration.

I believe that in the US you have to study Medicine as a post-grad, after completing certain courses during your undergrad years.

It's different here in the UK, where you can go straight into a medical degree after school, providing you've taken the right subjects.

I think the system in Oz is pretty much the same as in the UK, so it really depends on whether your sister wants to go straight into Medicine, or whether she wants to study for an undergrad degree first.
