medill chances for asian u.s. citizen living abroad

will Medill take into account the fact that i'm an international student with limited extracurricular options? my school is very small (like 80 kids at most per grade) with VERY few clubs/organizations. i was kind of hoping that competition wouldnt be so stiff as an international applicant b/c i would assume more internationals would apply to weinberg or something and few would be interested in journalism. anyways, i was hesitant about doing this but here are my stats....

-Around a 3.4UW GPA (maybe slightly lower...i hope NU also takes into account that an A at my school is 94-100 and that i got better grades as i got older)
-very unimpressive class rank although i'm not sure what percentile i'm in. my whole school is made up of koreans so it's pretty much cutthroat competition for grades...
-1500 SAT (760 V 740 M)
-National Merit Scholarship Commended Student
- SAT IIs: 780 Math IIC, 710 US History, 710 Writing
-5 APs
-AP LANG - 4, APUSH - 5
-Editor-in-Chief of Literary Magazine
-2 years on staff of one student newspaper, and 1 yr. on another (my school has two)
-2 years of varsity sport
-3 years symphony orchestra
-about 70 hours of community service
-participated in a korean traditional fan dance team in 9th grade (leader since age 9 and participant since age 6)
-piano, cello for about 10 year
-I'm assuming a solid rec. from my journalism teacher
-got As for my 2 years in journalism class

my personal statement is going to be about the rough time i had when i moved abroad during high school, while having to deal with family problems at the same time. do you think NU will take this into account when they look at my low GPA (esp. in comparison with my test scores)? these problems were definitely a large cause of doing poorly and the move interrupted the "flow" of my academics and interests. please give me your advice! thanks

oh my goodness, BUMP!
