mediocre sat math score vs good act math BUT horrible essay....advice?

i know these are great scores, but i have a problem. i want to major in math/science, but my sat 1 math score is sort of low. in contrast my act math score is pretty high,BUT my essay is really bad. heres the break-down:

sat: 2260
cr:800
math:700 <--------
writing: 760, 10 essay

act: 34
eng: 35
math: 35 <-------
reading: 36
science: 31
writing: 6/12 essay <-----THIS is whats bothering me.

if i just choose both, wont colleges see the bad act essay and think Gee, this kid either sucks at writing or was just lucky for the sat? but i also want to show a good math score b/c im into math/science.

i greatly appreciate any advice. im applying to uc berkeley, ucla, uc san diego, and univeristy of southern california.

Either is so much above average for all of those schools that I wouldn't worry about it. If applying as a science major and the school makes you declare, I'd use the ACT.

700 is mediocre?

haha 700 is really not a bad score, but for some of my more outspoken (ie arrogant) classmates, the score is most definitely "unacceptable."

anyone else have some input :)?

Just send in both. The colleges will choose what they think are the best.

You have no dilemma.. send both jesus

ok...so theyll just choose whichever is best right?
