I've been debating whether or not to retake my SATs for a few months now and it is really stressing me out (I never thought I would be that person...) Basically, i got a 2240 but my writing score was only 690 because I completely bombed the essay. I know I can try to show my writing strength in admission essays and by saying I've written for the Tucson Citizen newspaper or whatever but I really really really just need advice... especially from people who been there done that. I'm afraid that my SAT score might exclude me from the top schools.
Here are some stats on me:
I'm taking 3 SAT IIs + 3 AP exams this May
I've taken 3 AP exams (Calc AB,BC and Euro)- gotten 5s
I'll be VP for NHS next year and I do 2 other main volunteer things- VP on a Youth Board, Board of directors Representative
PSAT -226
Taken 400 level courses at U of A for 2 semesters (A first semester, not sure about this semester yet)
USABO semifinalist...( but definently not finalist!)

I've been looking on this website a lot lately and I have to say some things depress me :) like when people talk about their not so fantastic stats...

So just some help because I don't really have anyone else to ask...
Thanks
