Hey, everyone! Just wanted to start a convo with some of the folks that are planning to commit after EA acceptance. How is everybody feeling?
Personally, I'm still in denial. No WAY did that just happen.

Mostly crying. I’m done with exams, and I don’t have to show up at school tomorrow for my last period (Ac Dec), but I’m going to go and surprise my teachers (especially the one who wrote a rec letter for me!). He has no idea. :’ D

I forgot to fill out the CSS profile so I’m kind of freaking out about financial aid, but I’m super stoked! If we can figure out how to pay for this thing, I’ll probably commit.

Completely in shock. But yeah if financial aid works out, then I’ll be studying at Harvard next year :)

Were we supposed to receive our FA offer already (if we submitted the form)?
I didn’t get one :(( so scared!

I’m really excited! Today was my last day of school for the semester, so now I have 2 and a half weeks to relax and not do other college apps! Congrats to everyone else and I look forward to meeting you if you do choose to attend.

edit: ignore this :p

I’m really excited! My best friend and I both got in–what are the odds of that???

Haha or maybe I just have amazing friends in general.

Super excited right now! And yes, if all FA works out, I’m definitely attending. The Harvard acceptance is the best Birthday/Christmas present ever!

I AM FREAKING GOING TO HARVARD
My school is 180 kids 9-12 in RURAL Missouri, so this is crazy. Everyone went nuts at the basketball game last night.
And we swept those teams too :)

Oh (relevant!): I made a FB group for the class of 2016 for those who know they’re matriculating. Send me a PM for the link.

If FA doesn’t work out at Harvard, it won’t work out anywhere. When our D1 visited, she was told “No one ever turned down Harvard because they couldn’t afford it.” Two Ds and six years of FA later, I believe it!

I see everyone’s in a state of shock! Glad to know I’m not alone :P. Congrats to everybody, I can’t wait to meet you :).
/ Anyone else feel bad being super excited around friends who were deferred/rejected? I feel like a horrible person celebrating when my best friends are getting turned down.

^which is why I haven’t said anything to most of my friends. At least I have like 5 people I know who got into Columbia/Harvard/Yale, so I have some friends to celebrate with :)

Hooray! Congrats, 2016. (:
Be sure to ask (here, or on the facebook group that will invariably exist) if you guys have any questions.

Joining Elanorci here to say
Congratulations!!
Can’t wait to see you guys on campus in April! :-)

@Elanorci and xrcalico23: Thanks! I can’t wait for Veritas :D

Okay guys, there are like 82394673 Harvard Class of 2016 groups on FB right now, and I have no idea which one I’m supposed to join

Yes, welcome everybody! :)

Anyone else still in a state of disbelief? Still pinching myself obsessively on the arm over here. Who here has matriculated already?

^ Dude, totally… I’m not going to believe it 100% until the supposed red folder comes.

Q: When does our FA info get released to us? Will it be in the acceptance packet?

Elanorci and xrCalico, thank you! We’re all so excited!
