Meeting places?

I am trying to get a small to medium sized group together (honestly anywhere from 5 to 30 at the moment, still unclear how many we have) for a meeting. My organization is not yet recognized by the university so I think I would have to pay to book a room in the union or anything and I don't have any money, so I need a well known, easily accessible, relatively quiet place where I wouldn't get in trouble for congregating there. Any ideas?

Tell them to go to the first floor of Mason Hall (so actually one level upstairs). Get there early, find an empty room, and post a sign outside of it so they can find it. It’s what I do for my group and we’re actually recognized by the University.

I know several spaces that offer big rooms, but they are often reserved for other parties. Several seminar rooms in the libraries are grad students only. Sorry I can’t be of much help.

if you have friends in ross, its free and pretty easy for them to book classrooms there

Hmm. Maybe in the weeks leading up to when I want to have the meeting I should scope out a classroom at mason and see if it’s being used in the time slot I want.

I have an idea for an organization, and services for students with disabilities thinks it’s a great idea and someone there is willing to sponsor me. But before I can get registered I need to get ten members, and I thought the best way to do that would be to promote and see who I can get to come out to a meeting. I don’t want to ask my sponsor for money for the meeting unless I am reasonably sure it is not going to be a total flop. >.< I won’t know until I try!
