Mentioning things hard to mention in applications

A few questions here...
OK..so they ask you to write all your achievements, whatever I want to tell them.

I was once interviewed on TV...where do I mention that. It aint an honor or distinction...i guess essay would be the only option. but is there any other alternative?

And is wining a third prize still considered an honor or achievement and does it deserve to be listed in that category?

Last question...about answering short questions...are they as important as essays? Is it a good idea to answer them extra short, i mean in 2 or 3 sentences at most.

Short answers are not as important as the essays, but they are still very important--just like every part of your application.

If it was third place in a somewhat prestigeous contest, list it. Otherwise, they will wonder why you weren't #1.

It depends on why you were interviewed. If being interviewed wasn't any sort of honor, you shouldn't put it down. Why would they care?

well...competition was international....so i guess it should be prestigious.

And the interview was actually a part of the media publicity for an event that we organized......I dont think it was an honor though!!
hmm good point..corranged......i dont think it would help to write about being interviewd just for a publicity campaign!
