I got accepted into Penn State and I am wondering if they would have sent me a merit aid notification with the acceptance letter or does it come later? If i did not get any with the acceptance, does that mean I do not have a chance at getting any?

I was accepted weeks ago and I received no word on merit aid. I’m not sure if that means that I don’t get any merit aid…the decision is still up in the air…or maybe even that the packages don’t come out until later. I would also like to know whats going on with aid.

I did a little research and I think that to be applicable for any type of penn state aid you need to fill out the FAFSFA. I don’t know if that’s true or not but it certainly would explain why I haven’t heard anything about merit aid.

I tried to find out to and had the same results as you. Do we need to fill out FAFSA even if we are pretty sure we aren’t going to get need based aid? Also I am hoping I get accepted into the Honors college because then I will get some money.

Fill out the FAFSA regardless of how much $$ you think you will get.

Academic money will come out in April/May in your Fin aid package letter.

ok I will thanks.
