Thank you so much.
Interested to see how things turn out.
Anyone admitted RD but in Feb (âmet all EA requirementsâ) get any money today??
Letter is vague. âYouâre awesome. Weâre done w/ our process. We suggest you seek other options for aid.â
We were told Feb admit would likely mean some money, but it seems a mid-14s SAT, 5+ GPA and 15-16 AP and honors courses gets you no help.
ConfusedâŠ
Our OOS daughter got a similar email today, as well: âThe review process for academic merit scholarships available through admissions is now complete and we willl not be making any additional awards. I strongly encourage you to explore other resources for scholarship supportâ
Certainly would have appreciated any extra financial help, but our daughter decided on UGA several weeks ago even ahead of other decisions coming through (loved it that much). We still feel as though itâs a good value, itâs under budget and sheâs excited to be a 2023 Dawg.
Best of luck to everyone in their decisions!
OOS daughter (accepted EA) received same emailâŠno money. Dern, Was hoping for a little help!
My son received the same email. He really liked UGA and the Terry College of Business but we really couldnât justify paying OOS when we had a full ride to Indiana Universityâs Kelley School of Business. My son chose Kelly this weekend during Fry Scholarship Weekend. Congrats to everyone on here. Everyone will end up in great places .
My DD was admitted EA last fall (out of state) and offered the Classic Scholars, which is $9287/yr. At some point I called to ask clarification on the difference between the Classic Scholars and the Classic City Scholars, which $18,574/yr. Website does not give much specific info about the benchmarks or requirements for the Classic City Scholars. I was told that they might upgrade some students to the Classic City Scholars in April, but it would definitely not happen until April and then would be determined by how their numbers and commitments were coming along.
We were waiting to see how that panned out and had scheduled to go back for an Admitted Students day at the honors college this week, but in the meantime DD decided that she loves another similar school more so whatâs the point in going back to look at UGA again.
Iâm thrilled for my DD that she has made her decision and I think it is a great decision for her. In this case I do think it did not work to UGAâs advantage to keep a NMF student waiting so long to see what their final scholarship offer was.
