Merit Scholarship Eligibility?

I can’t seem to find the eligibility requirements for some of the merit scholarships. They are the AU Presidential Scholarship, Dean’s Scholarship, and Leadership Scholarship. Are there minimum GPA’s/test scores/etc for these scholarships?

Thanks.

There are no eligibility requirements for merit scholarships. If anything, applying to AU is your eligibility. AU Admissions states all applicants are considered for merit and need based financial aid by simply applying and that there are no separate applications.

Hope this helps or maybe someone else can answer this better…

Don’t know if this a better answer, but AU doesn’t disclose its criteria for merit awards, period. When my D got her Dean’s award five years ago, it was pretty clear to us that it was based on her high SAT. Perhaps that year they were interested in boosting the schools’s average SAT score. Another year it may be another goal. But I think it’s fair to assume that if you aren’t in the top 25% of applicants based on credentials, a merit scholarship will be highly unlikely for you.

MommaJ, that’s what I meant. I find it really odd they don’t disclose their criteria for merit awards. Many schools do.

Thank you both anyway!
