Merit scholarships at UT Austin?

Can anyone here in this thread name a list of competitive merit scholarships available at UT Austin? are there full-ride merit scholarships for out of staters?

UT itself really doesn’t do merit scholarships. Lots of individual colleges though do, I know Geosciences has a scholarship based entirely around GPA.

What about liberal arts college?

Cockrell gives out more merit scholarships than the other schools, I think. I’m from out-of-state, and I got an out-of-state tuition waiver plus $4500 per year.

The college of liberal arts gives the Dedman Scholarship, which is merit based. Engineering gives merit scholarships, based on SAT scores.
After the first year, liberal arts students with a 3.9 + are invited to apply for additional merit scholarships.
I’m sure there are others that I don’t know about.

Starting with the current h.s. seniors applying for fall 2011, there is the 40 Acres Scholarship program:
