Most potential transfers realize quickly that merit aid is extremely limited for transfers compared to freshman applicants. Both the number of scholarships offered and the amount they are worth are significantly less. However, there are some available, so this thread is an attempt to provide a list of schools that offer merit aid to transfer students.

First I would like to provide a couple of comprehensive websites:

Phi Theta Kappa, the honorary society for CC students offers merit scholarships at many 4-yr colleges, their website provides a FULL LIST on their website, so it is NOT NECESSARY to list individual schools that only provide PTK scholarships:

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

The following website may be of some help as for each school, it lists merit scholarships for various categories, including transfers. However, I haven't used it very much, so I'm not sure how helpful it is; the one school I checked had several "?", indicating that the website wasn't sure whether or not various scholarships were available to transfers.

Before listing colleges with school-wide scholarships for transfers, I would like to say that many colleges offer departmental scholarships for continuing upper classmen who excell. This will take a lot of digging in college websites, and will be dependent on your performance after you transfer, but it is a potential financial resource at some schools.

The following are individual colleges that offer merit aid to transfers. When adding more schools, please try to post a link to the website and any pertinent information about the scholarships (eg. gpa limits, dollar amounts, only for in-state CC students, etc.). Hope this helps!
