My OOS son is still finalizing his app and will be getting it in right at the Jan 15th deadline. He is applying to Engineering and Honors. He has a 35 ACT but his GPA is 3.87 Weighted, 7 AP classes, marching band, robotics, drama. Do you think Delaware will still have Merit money left? Any one know if his stats will be good enough for a scholarship?
i don’t know about how it works applying that late, but to get a merit estimate, run their net cost calculator. https://www.udel.edu/apply/undergraduate-admissions/financing-your-degree/net-price-calculator/ It’ll probably come up with something around $17K for those stats.
@MomMartha I personally think that they give out the best money to the early applicants. This is based off the experience of my two children and the difference in their app dates, qualifications and merit offers. That said, I agree with using their calculator to get an estimate. I also believe that Honors is harder for the late applicants. Also depends which engineering specialty he wants.
