<p>A member of the fin aid dept told me that they do not notify you if you are not getting a scholarship (too many applicants).</p>

<p>I received an “Emerging Scholars Program” letter talking about some special classes in the College of Natural Sciences, but I’m in engineering.</p>
<p>That is not a scholarship, it is an academic program the university offers. There is no financial award attached.</p>

<p>no I haven’t, but I didn’t notify National Merit that UT was my first choice until late march</p>
<p>I’m still waiting as well (I notified National Merit almost a month ago).</p>
<p>the deadline to mark UT as your first choice is april 28, so maybe UT doesnt tell you if you received the award until after that date.</p>
