Merit Scholarships

@tranquility145‌ Did your friend get an actual call today or did s/he find out yesterday?

@owl2019‌ he said that his portal changed earlier today. he is international so no phone call

I called the admissions office, and they said that notifications would be coming out in the next couple of days. You would get an email that notifies you once you have it.

Do you receive notification if you don’t get a scholarship that you applied for?

when do the entrepreneur scholarship notifications come out?

@WaitingInCPA Yeah, they notify you no matter what

Good luck everyone!!!

Got an email! I’m a Langsdorf finalist! OMG SO EXCITED!!!

edit: no portal update yet as of 2:01 PM PST

Yay! I didn’t get anything!

@LesPronoms Congratulations!! That’s awesome!!
I got a rejection email at 3:55 UCT. (It’s okay though)

Congratulations to all who have gotten good news!!! =D>

DD got a “We regret to inform you email…” Not surprised at all but you can’t get it if you don’t try.

I know there are partial scholarships, did anyone get notified that they got a partial scholarship or are these reserved for the finalists that aren’t ultimately selected?

Good luck all!

DS just got the same regret email. Oh well…probably crosses WashU off the list of schools, unless they would really surprise us on the Financial Aid front.

Congrats to those that are finalists!

No scholarship. Guess I’ll also have to move on from WashU. Oh well.

So does this “we regret” email mean you got no scholarships at all. Including business?

Dang… these things are completely random

My friend got a Yale likely, but got a “we regret to inform email” for Moogs. He is a Siemens Regional Finalist too, so I though he had this in the bag.

No for the Danforth as well… I wasn’t expecting much but I am pretty disappointed since I worked so hard on those essays!

I interviewed at Wash U in the fall and when I told some of my teachers at school, a lot of them mentioned how weird their admissions are. My science teacher especially had numerous stories about rejections/acceptances that made no sense! Oh well, crossing my fingers for admission decisions in March.

@megans113‌ WashU is notorious for practicing yield protection (which is the reason why I threw in an application to Langsdorf in the first place (I have no idea how I got it) - to show demonstrated interest in the university so that I wouldn’t be caught in the waitlist-yield-protection trap).

No merit scholarships here, either! Not expecting much, but still kind of a disappointment.
