Does Dickinson offer merit scholarships--If so, how much do they usually offer? Do they only offer to the top 1% or are they a more generous with their money.
Thanks! Anyone out there getting a full ride?

My S received the John Dickinson Scholarship ($17500/yr) which is the highest merit amount awarded. The letter said that this scholarship is "Dickison's College highest recognition of academic excellence and leadership in high school or community life." It does not mention any specific qualifications for the scholarship.

what was your son's GPA/SAT scores, etc.?
Thanks!

There are three merit scholarships awarded by Dickinson, to around 500 people a year I think. Dickinson College - Admissions - Academic Scholarships
I was awarded the John Montgomery scholarship whose qualifications are listed in the link above...

I got the Benjamin Rush one ($15,000/year).

My D also got the John Dickinson and is very, very excited. Her sats were 770/710/690 and 4.08 gpa.

I got the John Dickinson too- quite happy, as the college is very expensive :)

My SAT was 2130 (780/680/670) and I am 36th in my class of 778

D got the Benjamin Rush...

I just got my letter today, and also got the John Dickinson scholarship.

My SAT was 2150 (730/680/740), and I'm somewhere in the top 10-15% of my class of 160ish with a 4.11W GPA.

Congrats to everyone else who got scholarships! =]

I received the Benjamin Rush scholarship. Looking on dickinson's website, they give this one to about 30 people, and the John Dickinson one to 30 more people. So 60 people total.

I understand that Dickinson also awards merit scholarships for leadership--does anyone know anything about those?
