I definitely messed up coming into my freshmen year of college! In high school, I was that 4.0 student involved is several extra curricular activities and taking on 3-4 AP classes whenever I could. When I went to college, I thought I could take on the same amount of work. I took on AFROTC, AAS, Pre-Dental Society, and Chi Alpha. My first semester ended up as a 2.92 GPA and one W. Now in my second semester, I'm taking on 18 hours with the just AFROTC and AAS. I want to drop 3 of my classes, but I know that's a terrible mistake! I am currently a Pre-Bio student, but I don't think chemistry or bio is my forte. Should I switch or stick with it. Also, with Air Force Dentistry as my future career, will I be able to recover from this mess??? Please Help!!

That is a lot to take on your freshman year! Do you think maybe you’re struggling with having a social life and focusing on studies? Imho, I think you should start at steady pace for next term. Meaning, go ahead and start you classes and figure out how heavy the workload is going to be, then from there begin looking for clubs, etc. If you’re feeling really iffy about your major then maybe changing them may not be a bad idea. I think you should talk to career counselor or your AFROTC officer has to what major is properly needed for AF Dentistry.

Sorry if I couldn’t help much.
