If you couldn’t tell, your post was OBVIOUSLY not visibly a satire. In fact, your use of exclamation marks clearly showed that you were sincere and affirmative in your demands. You should feel lucky that MIT has a heart and doesn’t monitor internet activity to track who you are. But honestly, you’re insensibility disgusted many of us. Please think before posting, they’re are doing you a favor. They are not obligated to review your application, but they willingly decided to. You should be grateful.

can we drop it? who cares whether or not sarcasm was used for such a trivial manner? does it really matter? we should all come together in a time like this and simultaneously freak out about decisions, not aimlessly bicker with each other over the internet. kay? kay. we aren’t five years old. it’s done.

This is exactly why I turned Ben Jones down when he tried to convince me to take a gap year between undergrad and grad school and work for the admissions office. I like being the queen of CC – I can root for everybody that way. :)

Mollie- do you know if the new freshman dorm (I’m not sure if it’s been completed yet)(I think there’s a new dorm?) will affect admit number? I was speaking with someone from admissions this summer, but I cant recall what they said.

Yes. According to this article: [url=http://tech.mit.edu/V131/N55/admissions.html]6,102 apply early to MIT, slight drop from last year - The Tech/url, the Class of 2016 is expected to be around the same size as the Class of 2015, but both are larger than previous classes. Maseeh Hall was completed in time for the Class of 2015, so this explains the discrepancy. More room= more admits! :)
