Dumb Question. Wait...there's no such thing! ;D

So...MIT is sending the decision via email on Saturday @ 12pm? I was thinking that they were going to send it through snail mail since they didn't have a question on the app (I don't think) about whether we wanted the decision through email or not.

You go to decisions.mit.edu, type in your MyMIT username and password and then your decision will be displayed. If you didn't apply online then I'm guessing you don't even have a MyMIT username and you were supposed to create one if you wanted to check your decision online. But they are sending out snail mail if it is too late for you to create a username.

It's not email.
It's on this site:
decisions.mit.edu

^akybaky got it before me.

Cool. I have an MyMIT acct. It says its down for "upgrades" now. Hopefully the upgrades are our acceptance letters! :D

ahh... and how is the decision displayed? is a single-word-ish decision like "accepted" "waitlisted" "rejected", one sentenced decision like "congrats you are accepted..." or the full letter like "we regret blah blah...." ????

I'd imagine it's a short paragraph, but one word would be funny:

Yes: for the accepted

No: for the rejected

Maybe: for the waitlisted

my washu acceptance showed a copy of the letter that they are sending me in the mail.

The MIT decision thing (I was accepted EA) is basically a copy of the letter they send you later in the packet, I think (I don't remember, it was longer than a paragraph though).

Good luck! :)

^^^ yea same with Yale

Snively: Acceptance Letter

It's a reproduction of the actual letter you get in mail.

oh my god.

that sounds unbelievably nervewracking

having to put in ur username...and then ur password/PIN...and then scrolling down...and then reading the words on the screen

eek, im a junior and i got nervous just thinking about it

There are definetely dumb questions (but this wasn't one of them).

H5N1 - Your MyMIT says down for upgrades? Hmm...mine doesn't. How about other people?

mine said it was down for upgrade earlier now it's back to normal

Oh ok...so I guess mine was too. I just did not get a chance to see it. cool.

I didnt get to see it either :( Sigh, I wish the decisions were posted earlier. Do they post the decisions right on time? Or is it a few minutes before or after?

last time it was like 7 minutes before
