<p>i am wondering because I come from a very poor background and would like to know where to optimize my opportunity. i have been eyeing yale and stanford... both use EA... and i love both of the schools very much.</p>

<p>Do you have other stuff going for you besides the 2100 and 4.0? Even though you are URM, there's others out there with the same stats or even better. </p>
<p>If you have some good EC's, good recs(perhaps one that emphasize your background if its that bad), or an even higher SAT, you have a much better chance.</p>
<p>yes i have a truck load of stuff... but these are the preliminaries that matter 75%.</p>
<p>no i will not go for sob stories so my essays encompass 0% of my background.</p>
