anyone know if the Weygandt Accounting principles 8th edition has everything the 9th edition has? I emailed Gardner but apparently she forgot her email's password. Or sucks at responding.

Chances are it does. The only issue is if Gardner has homework problems and supplies the answers. Usually the biggest difference between mgmt books are the homework problems. The content is usually the same.

Gardner did not forget her password or anything. She does not reply to emails. She will state that in class. It’s because students email too much. If you take more classes you will realize shes an ok to good teacher but she will never know who you are.

Yes, Gardner is notorious for never answering her email. I wouldn’t bother with that if I were you.

I’m also interested in this, as the 7th edition of the textbook is only $4 or so on Amazon and it’d suck to spend $100 more just for homework problems. Does she assign homework problems from the textbook?

Thanks.

Yes she does, but they are not required. So if you are confident you don’t need the homework problems to do well in the class, then you should be fine purchasing the 7th edition.

If you are hellbent on saving money, another alternative is that you can rent the book in the library. She usually puts a copy or two on reserve at the library and you can rent it for periods of up to 2 hours. Most of the time no one checks out the book.

Another alternative is to buy the 7th edition for $4 and then take pictures of the homework problems in the reserve. That way you have both the content and the homework problems.
