<p>Does it matter if I buy the 6th edition instead of the 7th? What's the oldest acceptable edition? (PM if you haven't gotten around to selling your old copy) </p>
<p>Also, is the HW on the CD required, like with OWL and Mastering Physics? It was required for my AP, but I always thought it was pointless.</p>
<p>i don’t think it really matters, even though they tell you it does. i barely used the book and just used their lecture slides anyways. </p>
<p>the grade is just 2 midterms + the final if i remember correctly, you don’t turn in any homework.</p>
<p>When I took the course, the book was only there for you to read, and even then it was largely pointless because there was an online version available that was tied to an online account, so asking someone else who had bought the book and had an access code would give you access to it.</p>
<p>I’m not sure if new versions of the book these days come with the online version. I know that the online version is only valid for a year, so you have to find someone who bought a new account this year in order to use it.</p>
