What are the people like at Miami. What do they dress like. How do they act? It is diverse like Chicago is? Do they wear polo and vineyard vines?
Miami is very preppy. There is not much diversity at all, although they are trying and have been trying for years to fix that. Greek life is very prevalent. is that what you are asking?

My S is finishing his freshman year. From what I’ve seen compared with other campus visits for him and our D (who is at a different university), the students dress like students. When it’s warm there are lots of shorts and T-shirts. When cold lots of sweatshirts and other warm clothes. Maybe in the greek groups it is a little more preppy but I can’t speak to that as my S isn’t in one of those. There may be times in the business school where they dress up more like the business world. I can say that we live in OH and have heard about the reputation, especially from our friends who went to Ohio U. Our S was a little concerned about that but he has really enjoyed this year and made some good friends. And he wears plenty of T-shirts!
